After my Senior Secondary School Exams, I enrolled for JAMB and performed well, I scored 279 in JAMB and that was the my happiest moment in life.
I will be getting into the University I have earlier concluded, at this very point in time, I wasn’t seeing any obstacle, I have also concluded I will come out the best graduating student of the year. But the story is “How I entered school”.
I had also written the post UTME and scored an excellent result, I crossed my legs and arms waiting for the admission list to be release, this usually don’t take more than 4 weeks after the exam is conclude.
I heard the admission list was out and I rushed to a nearby Cyber Cafe to check my personal profile so as to determine whether I am offered admission or not.
Luckily for me I was admitted and tears rolled down my chin, where do I go from here now and how do I start.
I have waiting for admission for several years, now I have but who will be and aid to me who is going to help me pay my school fees and who am I going to call on for textbooks?
\There were like 919 questions running on my little head at the moment, I just had to pause and prayed over it.
I went home and told my parents about it. They congratulated me and encouraged me not to lose hope that thins will get well soon.
With the little money I saved during my secondary school days, I was able to raise fund for my acceptance fees, and paid my first year school fees. This wasn’t really easy for me, the expenses I encounter is way far beyond what I earn from my petty trade of amending foot wears for people in the street and also to some people who might come looking for me at my county’s shop.
Feeding in the school became difficult like schooling was actually something I never prepared for, it probably seemed I jumped into school
In the year 2017, while in my 200 level, I thought schooling wasn’t something for me again that I seriously have to quit but friends didn’t allow that to happen to me so I really appreciate everyone and in a special way my class rep and other members of my family.
You guys rock, I am ever grateful, now I am now a professor in the college of Mechanical engineering.
Thank you and may God bless you
